In Vitro Fertilization
IVF or In Vitro Fertilization is a assisted reproduction technique by marrying sperm in a certain amount with eggs, placed in a cup containing a certain medium, the whole process is carried out outside the human body. Marriage and conditioning between sperm cells and eggs is carried out using culture media and carried out at the Embryology Laboratory.
Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) technique is performed when the results of sperm analysis show the quality and sperm count is very minimal. For conception, or marriage, human assistance is needed in this case, namely by injecting one sperm cell into one egg.
Incubation is carried out for several days to monitor the occurrence of normal fertilization to form an embryo which is then sprayed into the uterus, 2 or 3 days after the egg collection procedure is performed.
