In Vitro Fertilization

IVF or In Vitro Fertilization is an Assisted Reproductive Technique by mating a certain number of sperm with eggs, placed in a cup containing a certain medium, and the whole process is carried out outside the human body. Mating and conditioning between sperm cells and egg cells using culture media in the Embryology Laboratory.

Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) technique is performed when the results of sperm analysis show that the quality and number of sperm are very minimal. For conception, human assistance is needed in this case, namely by injecting a sperm cell into an egg cell.

Incubation is carried out for several days to monitor the occurrence of normal fertilization to form an embryo which is then sprayed into the uterus 2 or 3 days after the egg retrieval procedure is carried out.
